UGC NET December 2020 Exam which was scheduled to be held between 2nd to 17th May 2021 has been postponed now due to COVID-19 Pandemic across the nation. UGC NET Dec 2020 Cycle (May 2021) examination was going to held on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17 May 2021 all over India.  The new examination date will be out soon  on the official website before releasing 15 days of the examination date. UGC NET 2021 Application Form: Important Points to Note

 

The process of UGC NET online application will consist of four steps. Aspirants should keep in mind the below:

  • Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted
  • The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
  • Each question carries 02 (two) marks for and for each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
  • There is no negative marking for an incorrect responses.
  • No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
  • The UGC NET officials will provide candidates with a chance to edit their online application.
  • Candidate’s Photograph & Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
  • The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be in between 10kb to 200kb. The photograph need not be attested.
  • The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb .The candidate should put his full signature in running hand writing on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.
  • Do not send the printout of the confirmation page to the authority office.

Steps to fill UGC NET 2021 application Form

Documents/Information to Keep Ready Before Filling UGC NET Application Form:

UGC NET 2020 online application form has been extended from 2 Feb 2021 to 2 Mar 2021. Candidates are advised to keep ready the required document at the time of UGC NET 2020 online Form filling.

  • All educational certificate and mark sheets.
  • PAN Card/License /Passport number/Aadhaar card number/Voter ID card number/any Government ID proof
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate (if applicable).
  • A person with Disability (PwD) certificate (if applicable).
  • Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as given in the Senior Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University Certificate in capital letters
  • Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as recorded in Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate
  • Scanned images of photo and signature in JPG format (file size of photo: 10 kb to 200 kb, file size of signature: 4 kb to 30 kb)
  • A valid email ID and mobile number.

  • Subject code for which the candidate plans to take the exam (mentioned in information brochure).
  • Code of post-graduation course (mentioned in information brochure)

How To Fill UGC NET 2021 Online Application Form 2021?

Step I: Registration Page

Fill in the basic information and note down the system generated Application No.

(i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as given in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate in capital letters

(ii) Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as mentioned in Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate.

(iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address – Candidates must provide own Mobile Number and e-mail address.

Note: Only one e-mail address and one Mobile Number are valid for one application.

Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form:

(a) The applicant fill all the required credentials in the form.

  • Personal information: includes, name, gender, parents’ name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, etc.
  • Permanent address : includes address, pin code, state code district etc.
  • Educational Qualification: the applicant required to fill the details of educational qualification which includes Name of the Course, Name of the College, Year of Passing, percentage of marks required etc.
  • -After all the details are filled, candidates need to click on the “Next” button.

Step III: Uploading of scanned images & Signature

  • Candidate’s Photograph & Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
  • The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be in between 10kb to 200kb.The photograph need not be attested.
  • The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb .The candidate should put his full signature in running hand writing on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.
  • Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
  • Polaroid and Computer generated photos are not acceptable.
  • Same Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading with Online Application Form and for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre.

Step IV : Payment of Fee and Status of receipt of Online Application Form with Fee. Make payment of fee through SBI /Syndicate/HDFC /ICICI Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking/Paytm) and keep proof of fee paid.

Download save and print copy of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee for your record and future reference.

(b) All the steps for submission of Online Application Form, Uploading of Candidate’s photograph, Candidate’s signature, Payment of fee and Printing of Confirmation Page can also be done separately.

(c) Once finally submitted, particulars in certain specific fields may be changed only during correction window.

Note: The application particulars entered can be edited before final submission of the Application Form.

 

UGC NET 2021 Salary:

 

For Assistant Professor:

Candidates can expects handsome salary in the range of Rs 25000 to 50,000/- intially depending upon the university & the skill of the candidates.

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

  • For first two year, the fellowship of Rs 31000/- plus HRA (Depend on the institution)
  • For the next three year. the fellowship of Rs 35000/- plus HRA (Depend on the institution)

UGC NET 2021 Application Fee:

 

The application fee of UGC NET 2021 varies category-wise. The application fee once paid, is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Fee details are as follows:

UGC NET Eligibility 2021:

 

Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria to appear in the UGC NET 2021 exam, Here are the broad pointers:
Candidates who are pursuing their master’s degree equivalent courses or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying master’s degree (Final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed can appear in the UGC NET  2021 Examination.
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
For Reserved Category: The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ persons with disability(PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.
For SET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the States Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, and are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor anywhere in India.
For Transgender Candidates: The transgender category would be eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for NET (i.e. JRF and Assistant Professor) as are available to SC/ST/PwD categories.

For Junior Research Fellowship
Age Limit: Not more than 31 years as on 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.03.2021
Relaxation: A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on the website: www.ncbc.nic.in) SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories and to women applicants.
  • Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on the production of a certificate from the appropriate authority.
  • Three years of relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates with L.L.M. Degree.
  • A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces up to the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is to be held.
  • Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.

For Assistant Professor:

Age Limit: No prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021:

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021: The test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions without break.

UGC NET 2021 Selection Process :

  • The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots or Eligibility for Assistant Professor) shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of NET.
  • In order to be considered for ‘JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Assistant Professor’, the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the following reserved categories

Tips And Tricks To Crack UGC NET 2020

UGC NET  Admit Card 2021 :

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released UGC NET Admit Card 2021 will be out soon. The admit card download link will be activated by the Agency on the official site of UGC NET 2020 at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Eligible candidates can check for the Examination Centre,Date, and Shift (Timing) as indicated in their Admit Card.No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center, on Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their Admit card. Candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the Examination venue:
a) Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b) A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
c) Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
d) Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
e) Personal transparent water bottle.
f) Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.

UGC NET E-Certificate:

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued the E certificate to give honour to all the selected candidates in UGC NET 2019.

The validity of the UGC NET E-certificate for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 3 Year from the date of declaration of result/ issuing the certificate. There is no time limit of the E-certificate for Assistant Professor post.
