UGC NET 2021 Application Form: Important Points to Note
The process of UGC NET online application will consist of four steps. Aspirants should keep in mind the below:
- Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted
- The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
- Each question carries 02 (two) marks for and for each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
- There is no negative marking for an incorrect responses.
- No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
- The UGC NET officials will provide candidates with a chance to edit their online application.
- Candidate’s Photograph & Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
- The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be in between 10kb to 200kb. The photograph need not be attested.
- The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb .The candidate should put his full signature in running hand writing on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.
- Do not send the printout of the confirmation page to the authority office.
Steps to fill UGC NET 2021 application Form
Documents/Information to Keep Ready Before Filling UGC NET Application Form:
UGC NET 2020 online application form has been extended from 2 Feb 2021 to 2 Mar 2021. Candidates are advised to keep ready the required document at the time of UGC NET 2020 online Form filling.
- All educational certificate and mark sheets.
- PAN Card/License /Passport number/Aadhaar card number/Voter ID card number/any Government ID proof
- Category certificate (if applicable).
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate (if applicable).
- A person with Disability (PwD) certificate (if applicable).

How To Fill UGC NET 2021 Online Application Form 2021?
Step I: Registration Page
Fill in the basic information and note down the system generated Application No.
(i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as given in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate in capital letters
(ii) Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as mentioned in Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate.
(iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address – Candidates must provide own Mobile Number and e-mail address.
Note: Only one e-mail address and one Mobile Number are valid for one application.
Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form:
(a) The applicant fill all the required credentials in the form.
- Personal information: includes, name, gender, parents’ name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, etc.
- Permanent address : includes address, pin code, state code district etc.
- Educational Qualification: the applicant required to fill the details of educational qualification which includes Name of the Course, Name of the College, Year of Passing, percentage of marks required etc.
- -After all the details are filled, candidates need to click on the “Next” button.
Step III: Uploading of scanned images & Signature
- Candidate’s Photograph & Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
- The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be in between 10kb to 200kb.The photograph need not be attested.
- The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb .The candidate should put his full signature in running hand writing on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.
- Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
- Polaroid and Computer generated photos are not acceptable.
- Same Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading with Online Application Form and for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre.
Step IV : Payment of Fee and Status of receipt of Online Application Form with Fee. Make payment of fee through SBI /Syndicate/HDFC /ICICI Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking/Paytm) and keep proof of fee paid.
Download save and print copy of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee for your record and future reference.
(b) All the steps for submission of Online Application Form, Uploading of Candidate’s photograph, Candidate’s signature, Payment of fee and Printing of Confirmation Page can also be done separately.
(c) Once finally submitted, particulars in certain specific fields may be changed only during correction window.

For Assistant Professor:
Candidates can expects handsome salary in the range of Rs 25000 to 50,000/- intially depending upon the university & the skill of the candidates.
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):
- For first two year, the fellowship of Rs 31000/- plus HRA (Depend on the institution)
- For the next three year. the fellowship of Rs 35000/- plus HRA (Depend on the institution)

- The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots or Eligibility for Assistant Professor) shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of NET.
- In order to be considered for ‘JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Assistant Professor’, the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the following reserved categories

UGC NET Admit Card 2021 :
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released UGC NET Admit Card 2021 will be out soon. The admit card download link will be activated by the Agency on the official site of UGC NET 2020 at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Eligible candidates can check for the Examination Centre,Date, and Shift (Timing) as indicated in their Admit Card.No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center, on Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their Admit card. UGC NET E-Certificate:
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued the E certificate to give honour to all the selected candidates in UGC NET 2019.
The validity of the UGC NET E-certificate for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 3 Year from the date of declaration of result/ issuing the certificate. There is no time limit of the E-certificate for Assistant Professor post.
