According to the latest notice, the Dearness Allowance (DA) for KVS teachers has increased from 42% to 46%, effective from July 1, 2023. This increase was approved by the Cabinet Committee. KVS Transport Allowance (TA)

The transport allowance is given to cater to the daily travelling needs of the employee. The Employees posted in the cities will get Rs.3600 as TA whereas the Employees posted at all other places will get Rs.1800 as TA.

KVS DA on TA

The DA on TA has also been revised and will be calculated on the 46% Dearness Allowance. DA on TA will be given on 2 categories of cities i.e. High TPTA and Other Cities. The central Government Employee from High TPTA city will get Rs.1656. KVS DA on TA will remain the same for a post with Grade Pay Rs. 4200, Rs.4600 and Rs,4800 i.e. PRT TGT PGT.

How to Calculate DA?

Dearness allowance is calculated based on the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers Base Year 2001=100. The index has been released by the Labour Bureau every month.

7th CPC DA Percentage = (12 Monthly Average) – 261.42) / 261.42 x 100
