After the alternative assessment system CBSE has release class 12th result and will be going to release Class 10th result soon on their official website.
Earlier Delhi University agreed on the UGC guidelines for conducting the examination once the situation comes under control, however depicting the situation it could be dangerous if students are asked to come and give the examination. Therefore, keeping in concern the health and other aspects, the students will be promoted to next semester with degrees prepared on the basis of internal or previous examinations. This should be followed all over the Delhi State in the colleges and universities which are run by the Delhi government.
The post on twitter handle wrote by Manish Sisodia says- “In the light of the major disruptions caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Delhi Government has decided to cancel all Delhi state university exams including final exams.” this has to be considered as the official announcement for the cancellation of examination and no university can forcefully pressurise the students for the examination. The universities are ordered to promote.
Due to the COVID-19 spread across the world, everything has been affected and since March the education system including schools, colleges, universities, and coaching institutes have been suspended. Delhi has been one of the highly affected cities across the country which lead the AAP government to take a decision against UGC guidelines. The students did not even have access to the libraries, labs, practicals, or fieldwork; therefore the decision of cancelling the exam was taken as there is no point of taking the exam for the syllabus which has not been taught. As we are dealing with an extraordinary situation, therefore extraordinary decisions are to be taken, he added.
According to the government, the decision of cancelling the exam was necessary as it is difficult to conduct exams in such unfavourable times, however, on the same end, it is also important that students get their degrees to pursue higher education or jobs without wasting their one academic year.
Delhi is among the city reporting a higher number of cases with more than 1 lakh cases till date. Therefore it is impossible to open the education system at this point of time and still, the condition is not under control so how long it would take no one knows. Therefore the decision of cancelling all the exams including final year exams have been taken in favour of the health of the students.
