CTET Exam Date Latest Update:

The New CTET exam date 2020 is 31st January 2021. CBSE has also avail  the One time chance to candidates for online corrections in their options of city between 17.11.2020 to 26.11.2020 [Extended] upto 11.59 pm only. Earlier, the application correction window for candidates closed on November 16. As of now, the CTET Exam to be conducted in 2 shifts in 112 cities of India where lakhs of candidates will appear. To maintain the social distancing & safety measure, The ctet exam will be now conducted in 135 cities across all over the nation.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced to postpone the CTET 2020 Exam. Over 30 lakh candidates were to appear for the CTET 2020 July exam that was scheduled to be held on 31st January 2021.

What Is CTET Full Form?

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET is a national level exam which is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) twice a year for the aspirants who want to secure their teaching job in govt. schools. Undoubtedly, being a teacher requires a lot of dedication and effort as well. If you want to teach in government schools then CTET is for you.

CTET 2020 EXAM NOTIFICATION:

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has always conducted CTET exam for those aspirants who want to become govt. teachers. CBSE has finally decided to postponed CTET 2020 exam conducted for the recruitment of teachers across India, exam to be conducted on 5th July 2020, but due to COVID -19 Pandemic, the revised exam date of CTET exam is 31st January  2021.
 
CTET Full Form is Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET 2020 Exam notification had released on 23rd Jan 2020. The online application process for CTET 2020 was over on 9th March 2020. CBSE had opened the correction link for CTET 2020 application form from 19th March 2020. To crack CTET 2020 Exam students must aware about the CTET Syllabus & Exam pattern in detail.
 

According to National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII is to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government every Year. It is a mandatory qualification for teachers. CTET Exam 2020 is a central level exam that is conducted by CBSE.

There will be always two papers:

  • Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

  • Last date for online application form: 2 March 2020
  • Last date of fee submission: 5 March  2020 (till 3:30 PM)

CTET APPLICATION FEE 2020

 

Candidates can apply for CTET 2020 Exam by logging in to the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test after the notification for the same has been released. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers). The amount of Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

How to fill CTET Application Form 2020?

Step 1: Click on the CTET Online Form link to get redirected to the official website of CTET (www.ctet.nic.in) to fill out the Online Application Form for CTET 2020 July Exam.

Step 2: If your are new user, Click on “New Registration” button to register yourself. Otherwise, fill your required details and click on “SIGN IN” button.

Step 3: Fill all the required credentials: Candidate Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, DOB etc.

Step 4: Now choose the Exam Centre and the medium of instruction for CTET 2020 exam in which you want to attempt the paper (English/Hindi).

Step 5: Enter your aadhar card number/PAN, chose your gender, category and finally select the status of Employment and also fill the status of the Qualifying Exam.

Step 6: Now fill in your Educational Details: the most recent qualification you hold, your percentage marks etc.

Step 7: Fill your communication address, phone number and email ID.

Step 8: Upload your photo and signature. Both the images must be jpg, png, or jpeg format and must have a white background.

Step 9: After that, you will be directed to the payment page. The payment can be made for CTET 2020 Exam through Credit Card/Debit Card/E-Challan.

Step 10: Click on the SUBMIT button. Your CTET 2020 Application Form will be successfully submitted.

Note:

  • Size of the photo image must be greater than 10 kb and less than 100 kb.
  • Size of the signature image must be greater than 3 kb and less than 30 kb.
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width) * 4.5 cm(Height) only.
  • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm(length) * 1.5 cm(Height) only.

CTET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary  with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). 

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Note: 

  • Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

CTET Cut- Off  and Qualifying Marks and Award of CTET Certificate:

The candidates appearing in the exam will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued a marks statement and Eligibility Certificate. The examination consists of two papers. Paper 1 is meant for the candidates who wish to be teachers for class 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is meant for the candidates who wish to be teachers for class 6 to 8. Both the papers are 150 marks each. Those candidates who will score marks equal to or more than 90 will be considered as qualified.

    1. Those who did B.Ed can apper only in Paper – II and Not for Paper – I….

      Appearing for Paper – I, you must have D.ED/BTC/JBT degree.

  2. B.Tech candidates are eligible for PGT post. they don't need to qualify ctet.

    But for experience, you can appear in ctet exam.

    1. After CTET clearance, you are eligible for TGT post, which is appoint for teaching up to 6 to 10th standard.

    1. As CTET certificate is acceptable only if you completed your B.Ed or pursuing last semester.

      But, you can apply it for experience & to get familiar for the pattern or level of exam.

    1. B.Tech candidates are eligible for PGT post. they don't need to qualify ctet.

      But for experience, you can appear in ctet exam.

    1. If you did B.Com, then you are not eligible for TGT post but yes if you have m.com degree, then you can apply for PGT post.

      And for PGT post, you don't need to appear in ctet exam.

  5. For appearing in CTET exam you have to do B.ed or any specialized course for teaching that is mention in the notification.
