CTET 2020 EXAM NOTIFICATION

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has always conducted CTET exam for those aspirants who want to become govt teachers. CTET Full Form is Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET 2020 Exam notification has released on 23rd Jan 2020. The online application process for CTET 2020 was over on 9th March 2020. CBSE had opened the correction link for CTET 2020 application form from 19th March 2020. The Examination date for CTET 2020: 5th July 2020.  To crack CTET 2020 Exam student must aware about the CTET Syllabus & Exam pattern in details
 
According to National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII is to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government every Year. It is a mandatory qualification for teachers. CTET is a central level exam that is conduction by CBSE. 
 
There will be always two papers:
  • Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
  • Opening date for online: application form: 24 Jan 2020
  • Last date for online application form: 2 March 2020
  • Last date of fee submission: 5 March  2020 (till 3:30 PM)
  • Online Correction Schedule: 19 Mar 2020 to 24 Mar 2020.
  • Download Admit Card: June 2020.
  • Exam date: 5th July 2020.
  • Declaration of Result: Within 06 (six) Week from the date of conduct of the Examination.

CTET 2020 APPLICATION FEE & PROCESS:

Candidates can apply for CTET 2020 Exam by logging in to the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test after the notification for the same has been released. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers). The amount of Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

How to fill CTET Application Form 2020?

Step 1: Click on the CTET Online Form link to get redirected to the official website of CTET (www.ctet.nic.in) to fill out the Online Application Form for CTET 2020 July Exam.

Step 2: If your are new user, Click on “New Registration” button to register yourself. Otherwise, fill your required details and click on “SIGN IN” button.

Step 3: Fill all the required credentials: Candidate Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, DOB etc.

Step 4: Now choose the Exam Centre and the medium of instruction for CTET 2020 exam in which you want to attempt the paper (English/Hindi).

Step 5: Enter your aadhar card number/PAN, chose your gender, category and finally select the status of Employment and also fill the status of the Qualifying Exam.

Step 6: Now fill in your Educational Details: the most recent qualification you hold, your percentage marks etc.

Step 7: Fill your communication address, phone number and email ID.

Step 8: Upload your photo and signature. Both the images must be jpg, png, or jpeg format and must have a white background.

Step 9: After that, you will be directed to the payment page. The payment can be made for CTET 2020 Exam through Credit Card/Debit Card/E-Challan.

Step 10: Click on the SUBMIT button. Your CTET 2020 Application Form will be successfully submitted.

Note:

  • Size of the photo image must be greater than 10 kb and less than 100 kb.
  • Size of the signature image must be greater than 3 kb and less than 30 kb.
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width) * 4.5 cm(Height) only.
  • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm(length) * 1.5 cm(Height) only.

There will be two papers :

  • Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intends to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

CTET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

  • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary  with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). 

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). 

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

 

  • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): 

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). 

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Note: 

  • Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
  • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and theirCertificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of Examresult.

CTET 2020 EXAM ADMIT CARD 

 
Candidates can download the CTET admit card from the official website as the hard copy. Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To log in on the official website, the candidates will require the following:

The admit card will be made available a month before the CTET 2020 Exam.
 
 

CTET Selection Procedure:

CTET is a national level exam which is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) twice a year for the aspirants who want to secure their teaching job in govt. schools.The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued marks statement and Eligibility Certificate

1. Once you qualify the CTET exam, you are eligible to apply for primary teachers, TGT and PGT posts in Central Government Schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya School, DSSSB & Navodaya Samiti Schools.

2. You can also apply for the State level recruitment exam as well.

3. Apart from this, the candidate who clears the CTET Exam is also applied in the reputed private schools, there is high demand over there.

 

Cut- Off / Qualifying Marks and Award of CTET Certificate:

The candidates appearing in exam will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued marks statement and Eligibility Certificate. The examination consists of two papers. Paper 1 is meant for the candidates who wish to be teachers for class 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is meant for the candidates who wish to be teachers for class 6 to 8. Both the papers are 150 marks each.Those candidates who will score marks equal to or more than 90 will be considered as qualified.
